a little about me
About Dr. Chloe Ifrah, Clinical Psychologist in NYC.

Hi, I'm Dr. Chloe Ifrah. Born and raised New Yorker!
I currently practice at Evidence Based Psychology NYC, where I work with individuals in person across Manhattan and via telehealth throughout New York State.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling confused by a frustrating disconnect: they're successful in many areas of life, but internally they're struggling. They may be excelling at work or school, maintaining relationships, and checking all the boxes they thought would make them feel fulfilled — yet they find themselves stuck in cycles of anxiety, self-criticism, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, overthinking, or relationship stress.
You may be the person everyone else turns to for support while quietly feeling exhausted yourself. You may spend hours analyzing conversations, questioning your decisions, seeking reassurance, comparing yourself to others, or feeling like you're never quite good enough despite all evidence to the contrary. Or perhaps you're tired of understanding exactly what's keeping you stuck but still finding yourself repeating the same patterns.
I specialize in working with high-achieving teens, young adults, and professionals navigating anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, depression and feeling stuck, emotional dysregulation, self-worth concerns, and relationship or dating challenges. Many of the people I work with are insightful, motivated, and capable. They've read the books, listened to the podcasts, and spent years trying to understand themselves. What they're looking for isn't more insight — it's meaningful change.
My approach is active, collaborative, and evidence-based. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients better understand their patterns while developing practical skills to respond differently. Together, we'll identify what is keeping you stuck, challenge unhelpful beliefs and behaviors, and build a life that feels more aligned with your values and goals.
Clients often describe me as warm, direct, and relatable. I believe therapy works best when there is both compassion and accountability. While I strive to create a space where you feel understood and accepted, I am also willing to challenge patterns that are no longer serving you. I won't simply sit back and nod while you repeat the same cycle — we'll work together to understand it, interrupt it, and create lasting change.
In addition to my work with anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, depression, and emotional regulation, I have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp) and experience working with individuals experiencing psychosis-spectrum symptoms. My background includes training in both hospital and outpatient settings, where I worked with a wide range of clinical presentations and levels of severity.
My goal is not to help you become a different person. It's to help you spend less time battling your own mind and more time building a life that feels meaningful, connected, and fulfilling.
If you're looking for a therapist who combines warmth with honesty, insight with action, and evidence-based treatment with genuine human connection, I'd be honored to work with you.
